The core idea behind the song is to encourage people to speak up and not hush up matters like this. Aawaz also aims to remind people of the horrific 'Delhi Gang Rape incident' and the fact that the nation waits in anticipation, along with the family of the unfortunate young woman for justice. Aawaz strives to retain the same public outcry so that the law enforcers can be pressurized to deliver justice and punish the guilty.
