Best Music and Best Music Video awards for 'Aawaz - speak up against sexual violence' at Noida International Film Festival

After 2nd Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival and Hollywood Shorts Reel-14, Aawaz wins two awards at the Noida International Film Festival - Best Music and Best Music Video.

The music video and the song aim to sensitize people of various social evils like sexual violence, child abuse and marital rape. The core idea behind the song is to encourage people to speak up and not hush up matters like this.

The song is recorded at Eastern Fare Studio and Madcat Music Studio in Bangalore and Sargam Audiocraft, Guwahati. The music video is directed and produced by Parmita Borah. This collaborative project involves noted artists from across India including noted vocalist of Assam Queen Hazarika, 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs' (2009) finalist Antara Nandy from Kolkata, Ritwika Bhattacharya from Bangalore, Vicky Mahanta, Pratik Nalawade, Pankaj Rajkhowa and many others. Camera work by Shasanka Gogoi, Anoop Guha, Vikramjit Kakati and Monibha Mitra. Apart from musicians, the actors in the video are Rachel Rose Oommen and Antara Baruah. The video was released on June 01, 2013.
