Best Music and Best Music Video awards for 'Aawaz - speak up against sexual violence' at Noida International Film Festival

After 2nd Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival and Hollywood Shorts Reel-14, Aawaz wins two awards at the Noida International Film Festival - Best Music and Best Music Video.

The music video and the song aim to sensitize people of various social evils like sexual violence, child abuse and marital rape. The core idea behind the song is to encourage people to speak up and not hush up matters like this.

The song is recorded at Eastern Fare Studio and Madcat Music Studio in Bangalore and Sargam Audiocraft, Guwahati. The music video is directed and produced by Parmita Borah. This collaborative project involves noted artists from across India including noted vocalist of Assam Queen Hazarika, 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs' (2009) finalist Antara Nandy from Kolkata, Ritwika Bhattacharya from Bangalore, Vicky Mahanta, Pratik Nalawade, Pankaj Rajkhowa and many others. Camera work by Shasanka Gogoi, Anoop Guha, Vikramjit Kakati and Monibha Mitra. Apart from musicians, the actors in the video are Rachel Rose Oommen and Antara Baruah. The video was released on June 01, 2013.

(Chador-mekhela is the traditional Assamese dress worn by women.) What I feel personally in that case, even the male singers, including Papon, Zubben, should be asked to wear Dhoti-Kurta or ban them too. Why this unfairly prejudiced view? And all the committee members also should be wearing Dhoti-Kurta or Chador-Mekhela all the time. Do they? Embarrassing moment for Assam and Assamese culture. This is not culture, This is not Bihu. Dehradun - places to visit in 24 hours | travelogue

I was kind of little reluctant about my trip to Dehradun, because I had just over 24 hrs at hand. What could I have accomplished in one day, trying to travel the beautiful land of the Gharwalis on the foothills of the Himalayas. But being a travel addict, I had to give into my passion. Dasara festival is the main attraction of Mysore and Mysore Palace or the Amba Vilas Palace. 2013 Dasara is the 403rd edition of the annual royal festive gala event. Dasara is a 10-day festival. The last day, known as Vijayadashami is considered the most auspicious day of the event. After Taj Mahal, Mysore Palace is the most visited tourist spots in India.
